Chocolate Wishes is a yummy treat. I love Trisha Ashley's books and her characters are my friends, or I wish they were. I love this book because of the little details Ashley includes on how to make proper chocolates and the best kind of chocolate to use. It's details like that that draw me into her books. I think I will make some Chocolate wishes for my friends. Although I am not into Angles or Tarot cards, I can still send them fun messages inside chocolates. I found this story to be excellent, given that Ashley took the time to develop more than just Chloe and Raffy's storyline. I liked getting to know Chloe's family and friends and finding out more about Sticklepond, a village that is the setting of many of Ashley's books. I love that there is more to Ashley's stories than a simple storyline. She interweaves many of her books and characters and brings out so much more about her characters with all the other storylines. Read this book and all of Ashley's books. She is a fantastic writer by bringing humor, love and reality together into such fun reading.

Chocolate Wishes Trisha Ashley 9781847561145 Books Reviews

Just finished this book. I enjoy books written by Trisha Ashley. Sticklepond seems like a place I would enjoy living in too.
Lovely book, in a gorgeous setting. The book is perfect for escapism. I did find the storyline about the male lead a little far fetched though - but I enjoyed the book all the same.
I love Trisha Ashley's books, if you haven't read her, you are in for a treat. Her characters are always people you want to know, warm, funny, maybe a little quirky. Chloe lives in Sticklepond with her younger brother and Grandfather (a warlock). She makes wonderful chocolate and grows scented geraniums. I want to take her to the pub for a drink or two just so we can chat. I'm not going to go into the plot, since you can get that in the synopsis, but I want to say how much I really love this book (and all of Trisha's books) It is such a treat to read a nice, well written story full of fun people that I really like. I hated when this book ended, and hope the author revisits Sticklepond and it inhabitants.
It seems like such an interesting set-up. The ex-rocker is now a minister. Except we didn't hear much about how that happened. We didn't hear much about his relationship with the former girlfriend. We hear a lot about her family and friends--wasted time when we could have investigated their new relationship. The focus was slightly askew but the cover art is great.
I really enjoy books with interesting characters and this is one of those. The storyline itself was predicable in parts but there are a few surprises as well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I think that you will too. Warning you may find yourself wanted to eat more chocolate!
After reading her book "Every Woman for Herself" I went on the hunt for more of Trisha Ashley. This book did not disappoint! One of several books that take place in or near Sticklepond, England, the characters are quirky and endearing. The main character follows Ahley's typical blueprint of a slightly flawed, but strong underneath it all, woman. A light read and a love story that has you rooting for a happy ending!
I loved this book! am going to be reading EVERY book this author has
written. A little hint of the paranormal combined with Jane Austen references, Georgette Heyer
collecting, and chocolate making!
