Very deceiving title and cover picture. There was no 'bad boy'. The bad boy(H) only had a reputation that was alluded to in just a few sentences. This was definitely more of a Disney PG 13 story of two good people. There was maybe 2 scenes where the H and h got together throughout the story. I was expecting a Bad Boy romance. This was not that. In any stretch of the imagination!Well written. I'll give it that. I like this author. I've read other books of hers before. But the H and h were just too damn sweet for me. And the story line was a bit too high school-ish. With antics that high school kids would play.
So if you prefer a bad boy who has occasional displays of an alpha male, then move on. Nothing even remotely close to that here.

I received an ARC for an honest review. I love this author. I've loved every book she's written! This book is amazing! We meet Eden now as she's just been told who the celebrity bachelor will be for the reality show for which she's one of the producers. Her high school ex, Troy Ballard. The love of her her life who walked out of her life without a word 8 years ago. She gives us, the readers a short backstory of how smart, unpopular, Eden, met gorgeous, hunk y, wild, bad boy football player Troy in high school. And he thought she was hot, and out of his league and she nearly challenged him to date her so he did. They were inseparable for 3 months. She gave him her virginity; they made love for a week. Then he was gone. No note. No text. No call. Nothing. Heartbroken. 8 years later he's on her show. He acts like he doesn't remember her! She's furious that he's obviously moved on, especially if she's read the news correctly; wild partying, different women every week, fast cars, a DUI. Just like he was headed before she knew him. He tries talking to her on the set but she's snarky. In the Troy POV sections, we find out what really happened and it's heartbreaking for Troy!! I don't want to spoil it because you need to read this book. It will melt your heart and you will fall in love with Troy. And hate reality TV. And someone else too. But you will root for Eden and Troy. I guarantee it.
Eden didn't believe in romance or love, she had her heartbroken and never forgot it even 7 years later.
Whilst working on 'The Stud' a reality tv show for the last year she had been involved with setting up fake scenarios and even going as far as a fake proposal. But this year she's in a complete panic because The Stud is her first and only love who left her without a word.
So when they meet and he doesn't even acknowledge he knows her, Eden is furious and hurt that he would forget her, but then again with his past of womanizing why would he???
As filming of interviews ends on set the usual drinking game begins of any pacific word e.g. soulmate etc then they do a shot. As the night goes on Eden starts to feel the effect of alcohol and on her way to her trailer bumps into Troy and let's rip leaving him completely confused.
Troy has thought he had found the love of his life in high school whilst playing QB for his football team. That is until he gets the news that a scholarship is up for grabs and accepts but knows he needs to talk to his girlfriend about it. Deciding to be the romantic he knows she loves he writes her a love letter explaining everything with a surprise at the end, but when she doesn't turn up he is left heartbroken and does the one thing you get told "to get over someone, you get under/over another".
But time is no healer and when an opportunity to become 'The Stud' arises again and a certain name is a Producer for the show in the credits he knows this is his chance to find out....why?
But what will happen when Troy does talk to her?
What will Eden do when she finds out the truth?
And who is commiting the sabotaged?

There isn't a book that you write that I don't love I have solutely love this book I love Second Chance Romance
I loved this book! Kate and Jay are a couple you can really cheer for. It just goes to show you can be as different as night and day. Believe me, you will love this book!
Enjoyed both books included. The story Iine keeps your attention. The characters are so strong and the feelings so real. Sometimes we have to be willing to try new things for great rewards!
I loved this story so much that even though I recieved a free copy for a honest review I had to go buy the book so that it would be in my library to re-read whenever I want! Troy is a bad boy that gets a second chance to do it right.
